20 Years???

My 20th high school reunion is in a couple weeks. I graduated from a class of 42 students. The last I heard about 20 were going to the reunion. Out of that 20 there are about 4 people I'd like to see again. I've decided not to go and have my own little reunion. Here's the plan. Meet at my house for Bartles and James Wine coolers. Hubby will then drive us to the Rite Aid parking lot, where we can spy on the real reunion and throw some candy.

When I was a junior in high school, we had gotten out of school to visit the local nursing home. We were riding in my friends car that was about 50 feet long. We were acting like we were in a parade and throwing candy out the windows. Kids were getting out of school and we thought they'd like the candy......I guess some of them didn't. Later that night it was on the news that were some child abduction attempts that afternoon. They gave a description of the car, etc. It took a while, but we realized they were talking about us. The next day, it was in the paper and we started getting nervous. That evening the police called the house, and my Dad took me to the police station where we were questioned. Luckily they realized that the story didn't come out like it really happened. We are still remembered as the child abductors. Many days after that I'd find candy in my car, on my porch, in my locker. There was even some candy thrown at us at graduation.

Here's a video that's going to be shown at our reunion.....my girls said they hope the dress better when they go to high school!

Hi Mom!

My mom and I both hate having our picture taking. My mom has really gotten bad about it though. So, I take her picture every chance I get. This is her favorite pose. She's almost as fast as I am with that finger.

Wifey

Last week we were at the library and my daughter was looking for a book to read. I suggested "Are you there God? It's me Margaret" She was interested until I mentioned I had read it when I was her age. Then I remembered reading Wifey, I think it was the summer before junior high. One of my friends had a copy and we'd hide out in the bedroom and read it. We read that book all summer. We thought we knew it all after that. So while we were at the library I check out Wifey and read it again.......and then hid it from my daughter, LOL!

A Day at the Beach

We took the kids to the beach (in Ohio). It was interesting to say the least. There are no dogs allowed on the beach, but there was one guy there with his dog, who screamed at his kids all day, and let the dog shit in the water. I bet he's alot of fun to live with.

Here are some of the other sites from the beach. It was a good day for people watching.

Friday

Hello

Welcome. I've decided to start a new blog. I have one where I talk all nice about my kids and husband, show off things I've made, etc...

There are things I've wanted to blog about, but they just don't seem to fit on my other blog. My friends always say I have 2 different personalities. So I guess I should have 2 blogs.

So, today is the first day of summer vacation. So far I've wasted 2 hours waiting to hear if Paris is going back to jail. WTF? Why do I care? Why does anyone care?
