Tuesday

September

Wow it's September already?? It's still 90 degrees here so I just don't feel like it's September yet. I'm still "computerless". I just can't decide what I want to get. So I'm waiting and borrowing the kids computer until I figure out what I want to buy.

The kids started their second week of school, and everything is going well. I think we're getting back into our routine. I hate to say it, but I'm kind of bored. I have no friends that can hang out during the day. I can only do so much cleaning and laundry. I'm seriously considering going back to work, maybe not full time though. Next year the kids will be in private school, so the extra income would help out. We'll see, I'm still weighing the pros and cons.

Oh yeah, total weight loss for July 3-September 3 is 35 Pounds!! Woohoo!

School Days

Well, the first day of school went well. I knew my daughters would be fine, but my son is in Junior High, and that can be challenging. I can't believe that next year I will have a son in High School!! The poor kid is smaller than his little sister in third grade.

I still don't have a computer, and have to use the kids. (it's old, and SUCKS!) I would never tell them that though, they already think they each need their own laptop.

Wednesday

Well, I knew it was coming. My laptop has died a slow, painful death. I was tempted to ease the pain by throwing the damn thing off the deck. The sad thing is that I can barely function without my computer. I pay bills, do my banking, check the weather, check school schedules and announcements, etc.... Not to mention I have to read TMZ and PerezHilton, and a bunch of blogs. The more I type this, the more pathetic I feel.

So, if you happen to stop by let me know what kind of computer you have and why...please.

I wonder if my husband will notice if I put a brick in his briefcase tonight instead of his laptop?? Might be worth a try.

Sunday

August

It's August already??

The bad news I guess is that summer will be over soon.
The good news is I'm 23 pounds lighter that I was on July 3!
More bad news....I'm still fat!
More good news.....school starts the 27th.

Thursday

Hot

It's hot, not just hot, but fucking hot. Oh yeah, and it's humid. I went out this morning and watered the flowers, pulled weeds, cleaned the car, etc... By 10am, I was ready to be in the air conditioning. I live in my childhood home...well I think my dad built this house when I was in 7th grade, but it seems like I've lived here forever. We didn't have air conditioning and it was so miserable. I was a lifeguard and would sit out in the sun all day, and then come home to a sauna. Now we have central air and I love it......and everytime my mom comes over she makes it a point to say she's freezing. I went over to her house today, to take her mail in while she's away, it's over 90 degrees in her house. She had some candles sitting on a table, and guess what? They melted and are bent over and look like I used to feel living without A/C.

Friday

The Huffer

Have you heard of the Huffer? He's almost as popular here as Brad Paisley. Well, he got arrested again yesterday for huffing paint. I think this was the 5th time. He got a good deal of publicity when he got arrested in the Dollar General with gold paint all over his face. He had gone in to buy more paint, the clerk was suspicious and called the police. He denied that he was using the paint for huffing.....I guess he never looked in a mirror. He still had the paint on his face in his mugshot. I really can't figure out why he just can't go out, buy the paint and stay home to huff it. Think he's killed a few too many brain cells??
You can read about him here, if your not busy reading the Enquirer or something,LOL!

Alone

I can't remember the last time I had more than a couple hours to myself. The girls left yesterday, and the boys left this evening. It'll be just me and the pets until Sunday night. So what will I do? Tonight I had dinner and cleaned up the kitchen......I love knowing that when I get up in the morning it'll still be clean! I stopped at Walmart for some stuff and picked up the Enquirer and Cosmo, that should entertain me for a while, LOL.

I'm watching Jamboree In The Hills right now, I'm not a country music fan......which is a sin in my small town (home of Brad Paisley), but Jambo is like a car wreck, you can't help but watch. It started yesterday with the "Running of the Rednecks". People wait in line all night, and then they run out on the lawn and claim their spot. Jambo fashion is another thing I enjoy. Flannel shirts with sleeves cut off, wife beaters, camo, and many, many bikini tops and cutoffs. It doesn't matter if you weigh 100 pounds or 250 pounds, you wear a bikini top and cutoff shorts. Plus everyone tops their outfit off with a cowboy hat.
